Career history: Francisco is an exceptional student. He completed an undergraduate course in his home country – Mexico and then worked for a few years. He decided to boost his career and improve his English by undertaking a Masters course in the United Kingdom.
Main text: It is well known in Mexico that whoever studied a Postgraduate Degree in a developed country has boosted his/her career and has greater opportunities to achieve a good job, an excellent quality of life and reputation, because once you do it, you gain respect and recognition in every place you go. Employers are more likely to recruit you and offer a great salary, sometimes beyond your own expectations.
Based on this assumption, two years ago I decided to study a MSc in Human Resources and Employment Relations and planned how to get it. I made some sacrifices to get the opportunity and started to study English language again. It was a bit difficult, but I believe that good things come to life by hard working.
I knew from the very beginning that Brunel was the place to study, because it has a great reputation among British and American Universities in several areas. When I arrived here, I noted that the high quality modules and first class teachers are the reasons why this university is at the forefront of the subject I am studying. There are two main advantages of Brunel: firstly, the location that somehow is less expensive than London regarding the cost of life and it is near the airport. Secondly, the content of all the modules is up-to-date in the global context. Consequently, I have learned valuable skills and gained knowledge that will make me competitive on the labour market in Mexico.
It can be assumed that Brunel is a just another UK university with an average level, but I was surprised with the high quality of researches carried out here and the reputation among UK companies that Brunel has.
A quote: “I knew from the very beginning that Brunel was the place to study, because it has a great reputation among British and American Universities in several areas”.
