Liverpool International College (LIC) offers preparation programmes especially designed for ambitious international students who want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a top British university.
You have full access to the University facilities, including guaranteed accommodation in the halls of residence. Then, having successfully completed the College programme to the required standard, you are guaranteed admission to a highly sought-after degree of your choice.
The College has three intakes – in September, January and May – so you can start at the most convenient time for you.

LIC programmes leading to an undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool
The Foundation Certificate in is offered in the following subjects:
- Business, Law and Social Sciences
- Science and Engineering.
The programme includes subject skills, English language modules and an introduction to higher education in the UK. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Certificate programme to the required level, you will be guaranteed admission to the first year of undergraduate study at the University of Liverpool.
LIC programmes leading to a postgraduate degree at the University of Liverpool
The Graduate Diploma is offered in the following subjects:
- Business, Law and Social Sciences
- Science and Engineering.
The programme will challenge students to use their prior experience and studies to build upon knowledge and understanding of the subject. It provides integrated academic studies in the relevant subject area, advanced level English skills and higher level UK study skills. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma programme to the required level, admission will be guaranteed to a postgraduate degree at the University of Liverpool.
