The Robert Gordon University, AberdeenThe University is divided into 3 faculties - the Aberdeen Business School, the Faculty of Design & Technology and the Faculty of Health & Social Care - which offer a range of courses from undergraduate degree to postgraduate certificate, diploma and Masters/PhD programmes.

Courses at RGU have a very strong practical and professional bias. They are designed to prepare you as thoroughly as possible for the workplace when you graduate.

What does this mean in practice?

• Work placements Many of our programmes give you the chance to undertake a paid work placement which is assessed as part of your course. At undergraduate level, placements can be for up to one year and you are paid by the employing company during this time. At postgraduate level, placements are shorter and usually unpaid. However, in all cases you benefit by increasing your understanding of the UK work environment and by building links with local organisations.

• Strong links with industry Courses are updated regularly in line with developments in industry practice

• Professional accreditation Many courses at RGU offer professional accreditation from leading UK professional bodies such as:

• Association of MBAs
• Chartered Institute of Marketing
