‘I come from a very poor country, so this scholarship will be a crucial contribution towards my tuition fees.’
Computing and IT at Solihull Solihull College offers computing and information technology programmes for students at all levels. The Level 3 BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners course allows you to specialize in either software development, systems support or take the general route.
The College and the course I chose, with a specialism in software development, have been, without a doubt, key to my achievements. The on-campus facilities were great and I was able to build up a really good rapport with the tutors.
Scholarship success I was over the moon when I heard my application for this scholarship programme had been successful. I come from a very poor country, where a good education is hard to come by, so this scholarship will be a crucial contribution towards my tuition fees.
Future I’m currently completing a foundation year in electronic and electrical engineering at Birmingham and will then progress to a degree in computer systems engineering. Eventually, I’d like to use my degree to go back to Tanzania and put my IT and engineering skills to good use over there.
