Solihull College

Solihull College is an award-winning, vibrant college situated in the West Midlands region of the UK. Solihull College has been established for over 50 years, currently has 35,000 students and is in the top 25 UK colleges in terms of size.

Location
Hobsons Study UK - Solihull is one of Britain’s most central locations, at the heart of the UK’s rail, road and air networks, bringing the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond within easy reach. In Solihull you also live in a town with easy access to idyllic countryside and village communities, while at the same time being close to Britain’s second city, Birmingham. Solihull College is an important part of the local community. Founded in 1954, it is active all over Solihull and Birmingham, with two campuses each offering their own special base for study.

Solihull College offers a wide range of opportunities for study. Whether you are interested in further or higher education, open and distance learning, courses in the community or online learning, there is bound to be a course for you. We offer a supportive, stimulating learning environment with clear progression links to British universities. We also offer a range of higher education courses in subjects like business, computing, engineering and art.

The College has well-established English teaching and can offer you various courses to improve your English depending upon your level of ability.
The College delivers a wide range of subjects both academic and vocational at the following levels:

Facilities
As a vocationally orientated college, Solihull is constantly investing in new facilities. We are currently building a £13.5m campus to the north of the town: this exciting development will have modern computer resources, library and study centre, hair and beauty salons, engineering laboratories, and a centre dedicated to learning construction skills, as well as a bistro.

Solihull’s town-centre campus at Blossomfield is set in a spacious and pleasant environment with easy access to the town centre, buses and trains.

This centrally located campus includes the higher education centre, the Centre for Sixth Form Studies, with purpose-built, high-tech IT open learning areas. The campus has modern science laboratories, an extensive library, a refectory and recreational areas. We also have excellent new art and design studios offering a first-class environment, and have recently opened a new sports hall for all students studying sport at the College. The campus also contains industry standard media and television suites, extensive engineering workshops, hair and beauty salons, floristry, travel and art material shops.

Student life
Hobsons Study UK - When choosing to study away from home, you need to think about the quality of student life. The institution you study with and the support it can give you is as important as the subject and level of qualification you choose. Solihull provides you with all you need to experience life in the UK both in a town with easy access to some of Britain’s most attractive countryside and in a cosmopolitan city, Birmingham, just a short train ride away. More than that, being located so close to one of Britain’s major airports gives you easy access to the rest of Europe. There are few other colleges that offer such a variety of experience and such convenient travel links. We also provide personal tutors and a range of student support services to help and guide you while you study with us.
