Studying for a PhD in Construction Management and Engineering
Libya
Age 29

As an international student, studying in Reading is a very rich experience. The University of Reading is reputed for its quality and academic excellence, and this was one of the reasons I chose to be here. The other attractive aspect of the University is its large and beautiful campus with the lake, greenery and ambience which are conducive to both learning and leisure. The facilities are also exceptional, particularly the large sports fields and well-equipped Sports Centre, not to mention the state-of-the-art IT provisions that are available. I am delighted and proud to be a University of Reading student.

Reading University has students from different parts of the world which makes it a truly international institution. The University is very friendly towards international students and makes every effort to make them feel comfortable - for example there are organisations such as Focus International, which takes students from the University to nearby places to help them settle into their new environment more quickly. The Halls of Residence also has students from all over the world, which makes it easier for students to mix with each other
