Location Situated 40 minutes by train to the south west of London, the University is just 10 minutes walk from Guildford town, in the county of Surrey. Guildford is a busy, historic English town with great shopping and lively entertainments.
Accommodation and Facilities
Surrey is fortunate to be able to offer all single students paying overseas fees a place in accommodation for the whole normal duration of their course. All university rooms are self-catering, have free broadband internet connections and many have en-suite bathroom facilities. On campus there is an extensive library, excellent 24 hour computing facilities, post office, bank, bookshop and small supermarket.
Student life The University of Surrey Students’ Union (USSU) is one of the country’s largest Students’ Unions and houses several food outlets and bars. The campus offers a variety of different sport and leisure clubs and activities including tennis, football, dance and climbing and a major new sports development is underway and due to open in 2009.
The International Office organises airport pick-ups and an induction for new students, and offers advice and information on all matters relating to the international students.
